FAQs
The Bravery Bra is a post-surgical recovery bra thoughtfully designed for women healing after procedures like mastectomy, reconstruction, explant surgery, and other breast-related surgeries. It was created to provide comfort, support, dignity, and functionality during one of the most vulnerable stages of recovery.
Bravery Bra was born from real experience. After surgery, I realized the recovery options available felt uncomfortable, clinical, and impersonal. I wanted to create something that not only supported healing physically, but also helped women feel seen, feminine, and empowered during recovery.
Bravery Bra combines recovery functionality with comfort and thoughtful design. Features may include:
- Soft, comfortable materials
- Adjustable fit for swelling and healing
- Supportive design without sacrificing comfort
- A more elevated, confidence-boosting recovery experience
Bravery Bra is designed for women recovering from:
- Mastectomy
- Breast reconstruction
- Lumpectomy
- Explant surgery
- Cosmetic breast surgery
- Other chest or breast-related procedures
Always follow your surgeon’s recommendations for post-op garments.
Many women can wear a Bravery Bra during the early stages of recovery, but every procedure and surgeon is different. We always recommend confirming with your surgical team which garment is best for your specific recovery plan.
Not at all. While Bravery Bra was deeply inspired by the breast cancer journey and was thoughtfully designed with the needs of women recovering from breast surgery in mind, its comfort, support and beautiful design make it a great choice form any woman. Its supportive fit, exceptional comfort and stylish design make it perfect for everyday wear, recovery and even light exercise.
We recommend using our sizing guide before ordering. If you are between sizes or expecting post-surgical swelling, sizing flexibility is built into the design for added comfort during recovery.
Yes. Comfort was a priority in the design process, especially for women experiencing tenderness, swelling, scars, or skin sensitivity during recovery.
Many customers choose to wear Bravery Bra day and night during recovery because of its comfort and support. However, always follow your surgeon’s guidance regarding compression and overnight wear.
For best results:
- Hand wash or machine wash on gentle cycle
- Use cold water
- Lay flat or hang dry
- Avoid bleach and high heat
Specific care instructions will also be included with your garment.
